. someone grabbed the umbrella. this is a wart spout that developed over lake michigan. the water spouts are typically this time of the year. in lake michigan it's warmer than the air temperature. you saw the time lapse video. these are basically tornadoes, right? >> well, a water spout over the water tends to be a lot weaker than the structure of the tornado. it really is a funnel. you can see two funnels. that's marquette university in milwaukee as opposed to michigan. that difference in temperature can help create some of that with the lift that knish eated that. that was right about there. as you cross over lake michigan and this cooler air, temperatures in the 50s. you'll notice 32 international falls. there's cold air wrapping around just before the surface. that cloud level is chilly stuff as we are on the warmer side. there's this spin. there's this circulation. tornadoes and water spouts are different features. 10 days ago that was a water spout. this one, this is the circulation we were talking about last week. the well weather match looks so eeriely similar. the tropical feed

massachusetts governor mitt romney won in michigan by a wide margin. taking more than 50% of the vote. rick perry came in a distant second with just under 17% of the vote. but even more surprising, businessman herman kaine won in the florida straw poll with 37% of the vote. texas governor rick perry came in second with 15%. and this morning, on the "today" show, kaine said his victory was authentic and was not a protest against perry. >> message come out of that victory was simple. the voice of the people is more powerful than the voice of the media. secondly, message is more powerful than money. rick perry and mitt romney, they both spent a considerable amount of money in order to try to influence that florida straw poll. i rented a bus and went all over the state talking to people, sharing my message. that's what made the difference. >> kaine mentioned he liked the saturday night skit that spoofed the gop debate. the former owner of a pizza business says he likes it so much he will use the slogan -- vote for me, i will deliver in the next debate. >>> there is a new push to get republican
of weekend straw poll votes. front-runner rick perry came in a distant second in both michigan and florida. mitt romney won the michigan straw poll. that's not particularly shocking since romney was born in michigan and his father was a michigan governor. the big surprise was in florida where underdog herman cain pulled off a stunning upset. cain got 37% of the vote in the presidency five straw poll. perry only got 15%. we'll talk it over in our "fair game" segment next hour. >>> one of two fullerton, california police officers charged with beating a homeless man to death entered a not guilty plea today. man well ramos is charged with second degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in connection with the july 5th death of 37-year-old kelly thomas. we've been following this case here on the show. prosecutors say the homeless man begged for his life as ramos and another officer tasered him an beat him. the judge has scheduled a november 4th pretile hearing for ramos. that is the same day as a scheduled hearing for the other defendant, who entered a not guilty plea last week. >>> back now t
